Rhett Lindsey Back
3rd Year Medical Physics Resident
Biography:
Rhett received his B.S. in Physics from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He then went on to become a High School teacher in Mesa, Arizona where he taught the subjects of Math, Chemistry, Biology, Health and Physics. After working several years in education, Rhett went on to work in the semi-conducting industry at Sumika Electronic Materials in Phoenix, Arizona.
Due to several life experiences, Rhett’s interests started to lean towards the medical industry. When Rhett discovered that the field of Medical Physics would allow him to utilize his physics skills while exploring his new found interest in medicine, he enrolled in the Medical Physics Master's program at Wright State University, which he graduated from in 2010.
Rhett started the residency program at Upstate Medical Physics in July of 2010, where he continues to grow in the knowledge and practice of Medical Physics.
On the more personal side, Rhett is married and has three kids. In his free time, Rhett enjoys hanging out with his family, coaching basketball, studying the martial arts and finding time to serve others.
