Biography
Dustin completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His master’s thesis focused on radiation shielding in diagnostic imaging facilities, where he has obtained extensive experience with UMP since joining the group in September of 2004. Dustin has performed many shielding designs for radiographic and interventional suites, CT suites, high volume PET facilities, and I-131 therapy rooms.
Dustin obtained his FDA approval under MQSA regulations in January of 2006, and has been performing annual mammography physics surveys and equipment evaluations ever since. He has extensive experience with all of the currently approved full-field digital mammography systems (Hologic, GE, Fuji, Siemens).
Dustin also regularly performs physics surveys on radiographic, fluoroscopic, MRI, and CT imaging systems. He really enjoys working with the diverse collection of CT systems within the UMP client base, and learning how to optimize utilization of these complex imaging units.
Dustin is originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan.
